BOLD Sustainable designs Built to last
Steve Williams Landscapes offers a complete garden design service, guiding every project from the first conversation to the final planting. Each garden is designed to enhance your outdoor space, where children play, food grows, friends gather, and nature thrives in modern urban life.
Our services
Every great garden starts with the right approach.
No two gardens—or clients—are the same. Some projects need a single conversation. Others deserve a complete creative journey. Larger, more bespoke gardens require continued involvement through to construction.
These are the four ways we typically work together.
01
CONSULTATION
Expert advice. Clear direction.
Not every project needs a full garden design.
If you're unsure where to begin, a consultation is the perfect first step. Together we'll explore your garden, discuss opportunities and establish clear priorities, giving you the confidence to move your project forward.
Whats's included:
Expert advice tailored to your garden
Creative direction
Budget guidance
Clear next steps
Confidence to move your project forward
02
WILD GARDEN WORKSHOP
The fastest way to transform your garden.
The Wild Garden Workshop is an intensive one-to-one design experience that transforms uncertainty into a clear, buildable garden concept.
Together we'll spend a day exploring ideas, testing layouts and shaping the future of your garden. Afterwards, I'll develop everything into a layout plan, simple 3D model and planting direction.
Everything you need to build an exceptional garden. Without the wait.
What's included:
Site survey
One-to-one design day
Garden layout plan
Simple 3D model
Planting and material direction
A buildable garden concept
03
GARDEN DESIGN
Some gardens deserve more time.
Garden Design follows the same creative process as the Wild Garden Workshop, but allows more time to explore ideas, refine every detail and develop something completely unique.
Through collaboration, visualisation and design development, we'll create a garden that's shaped around your home, your lifestyle and your ambitions.
A fully considered, buildable garden design that's entirely your own.
What's included:
Everything included within the Wild Garden Workshop
Moodboards and material palettes
Design development meetings
Multiple design iterations

04
Full garden design
From concept to construction.
For larger or more technically demanding projects, I remain involved beyond the design process, producing construction drawings, collaborating with contractors and protecting the original vision throughout the build.
Every detail considered. Every decision intentional.
What's included:
Everything included within Garden Design
Construction drawings
Technical detailing

Reclaimed and reused materials
Reused and reclaimed materials are an important part of how we approach ecological garden design. Old brick, stone, timber and concrete are often retained and reworked into new layouts, bringing character and grounding each space in its history. Using what is already there reduces waste and adds a sense of continuity between the house and the garden. These materials sit naturally alongside planting, creating urban gardens that feel layered, honest and connected to their surroundings while still being carefully composed and refined.

Food Forests & edible gardens

Productive planting belongs within refined spaces when it is thoughtfully integrated. Fruit trees, shrubs, herbs and perennial crops are layered into the wider planting strategy, creating edible landscapes that are both beautiful and resilient. Food forests designed in this way support pollinators, improve soil systems and contribute to everyday life whilst also being beautiful spaces to spend time in.

Structured wildness
Structure creates freedom. Clear hard landscaping and defined spatial frameworks bring order to the garden, allowing planting to move, seed and evolve without feeling unmanageable. This balance is central to the studio’s urban garden design approach. Wild enough to support biodiversity, controlled enough to sit confidently alongside contemporary architecture.

How we work
Every project moves through clearly defined stages, from concept to contractor engagement, with Steve closely involved throughout to protect the integrity of the design. Transparency and clarity around budgets, timelines, and expectations ensure you feel confident at every step. The result is a garden that’s adventurous, expressive, and deeply aligned with your values — a space that feels alive, intentional, and entirely your own.
